Gobustan Rock Art Reserve & Museum
Explore one of the Caucasus region’s most important archaeological sites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ancient petroglyphs—some dating back over 40,000 years—depict scenes of daily life, hunting, and rituals. The modern interactive museum provides cultural and historical context to this open-air gallery carved in stone.

Mud Volcano Museum
Azerbaijan is home to more than half of the world’s mud volcanoes. At this museum, you’ll learn about this rare geological phenomenon—its origins, behavior, and impact on the region’s unique terrain. A fascinating stop for science and nature lovers alike.

Bibi Heybat Mosque
A striking reconstruction of a historic Shiite mosque destroyed during the Soviet era, Bibi Heybat is a revered spiritual site overlooking the Caspian Sea. Its impressive architecture and peaceful atmosphere make it both a place of worship and a cultural landmark.

The World’s First Drilled Oil Well
Visit the historic site where, in 1846, the world’s first oil well was drilled using modern techniques. This moment marked the birth of the global oil industry and placed Baku at the center of an energy revolution.

Ateshgah – The Fire Temple
Located in the heart of the Absheron Peninsula, this Zoroastrian fire temple once hosted a naturally burning flame fueled by underground gases. The temple stands as a symbol of the region’s spiritual heritage and mystical past.

Yanardag – Burning Mountain
End your day at Yanardag, a hillside where natural gas has been blazing from the earth’s surface for centuries. This eternal flame is a natural marvel and one of the most iconic images of Azerbaijan, truly earning it the name «Land of Fire.»
Lunch is included along the route, as well as bottled water throughout the day.
